1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the PeloVelo mobile application (the “App”), provided by Kandy Apps Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or otherwise using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your personal information, and forms part of these Terms by reference.

2. What PeloVelo Is

PeloVelo helps cycling clubs organise group rides and related activities. It provides features such as ride creation, route and meeting point information, ride participation records, and connections to third-party route and activity services such as Strava and RideWithGPS.

PeloVelo does not manage club membership on behalf of any club. We do not process membership fees, handle formal membership registration or renewals, or act as an agent of any club. Each club is responsible for its own membership arrangements outside the App. Where the App displays a club affiliation, a role such as ride leader or administrator, or a membership status, this reflects information provided by the relevant club or its administrators — not a determination made by us.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you should only use the App with the involvement of a parent, guardian, or your club, as appropriate. By using the App, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to accept these Terms in your jurisdiction.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information, including any profile details, month and year of birth, and emergency contact details you choose to add.
If you provide another person's details as an emergency contact, you confirm you have that person's permission to share their name and telephone number with club administrators and ride leaders for use in a genuine emergency — see our Privacy Policy.
You agree to notify us promptly by email at info@pelovelo.app if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.

5. Club Affiliations and Roles

Administrator and ride-leader permissions within a club are granted by that club, not by us. We are not responsible for a club's internal decisions about membership, roles, or governance, and we do not adjudicate disputes between members or between a member and a club.

6. Acceptable Use

When using the App, you agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that harasses, threatens, or harms another person;
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any club, or your role or qualifications as a ride leader;
Upload or share content that is abusive, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate;
Access, monitor, or attempt to obtain another member's location, contact details, or emergency contact information other than as intended by the App's features and permissions;
Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the App, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account or system; or
Add another person's details (such as an emergency contact) without their knowledge and permission.

7. Rides, Physical Activity, and Assumption of Risk

Cycling and group rides carry inherent risks, including the risk of serious injury or death. Please read this section carefully.

Rides organised or recorded through the App are arranged by clubs, ride leaders, and members — not by us. We do not inspect routes, verify road or traffic conditions, supervise rides, or vet the competence, experience, or qualifications of any ride leader or participant.

By choosing to participate in a ride organised through the App, you acknowledge and voluntarily accept these risks. You are responsible for:

Assessing your own fitness and competence to take part;
Using appropriate, well-maintained equipment and safety gear;
Complying with the Highway Code and all applicable traffic laws; and
Exercising your own judgement about whether to join, continue with, or leave a ride.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither we nor Kandy Apps Ltd are liable for any injury, death, loss, or damage arising from your participation in rides or club activities organised or recorded through the App. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence in providing the App itself, where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Location Tracking

If you choose to enable live location tracking, your location during a ride is shared only with other participants of that ride, for the duration of the ride you are tracking. You can disable tracking, or set a “privacy zone” to mask an area such as your home, at any time in Settings. We do not monitor your location in real time and cannot guarantee the accuracy of tracked location data.

9. Third-Party Services

If you choose to connect a third-party service such as Strava or RideWithGPS, your use of that service is governed by its own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of any third-party service, and you can disconnect a connected service at any time within the App.

10. Your Content and Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, software, and branding, is owned by Kandy Apps Ltd or its licensors, and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except as needed to use the App as intended, you may not copy, modify, or distribute it.

You retain ownership of content you provide, such as your profile photo. By providing it, you grant us a licence to use, store, and display it within the App for the purpose of operating the service — for example, showing it to other members of your club.

11. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the availability, reliability, or accuracy of the App, and we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, and other than for death or personal injury caused by our negligence (which we do not exclude or limit), Kandy Apps Ltd's total liability to you arising out of or in connection with your use of the App is limited to the amount (if any) you have paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, and we exclude liability for indirect, special, or consequential loss.

13. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the App, and request deletion of your account and personal information, at any time — see our Privacy Policy for how account deletion works, including the in-app option and our account deletion request page for anyone who no longer has the App installed.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes may be communicated within the App, and the latest version will always be available at this page. Continuing to use the App after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute.
